DT Article ~ Maja Design No1.

Hvem har vel ikke hørt om Maja Design og de lekre mønsterpapirene som de lager??

Når Marie, eieren av Maja Design tok kontakt med oss og ville gjøre en DT artikkel med oss, så kan jeg love deg at jubelen stod i taket!

Vi elsker vakre mønsterpapir og Maja Design sine vakre papirer, er intet unntak!

Who has not heard of Maja Design and the gorgeous pattern papers they make?

When Marie, the owner of Maja Design, contacted us and wanted to make a DT article with us, I can promise you there where a lot of happy dances going on over at the StampARTic house! 

We do love beautiful pattern papers, and Maja Design's gorgeous papers are no exception! 

Love them all!!! 

Maja Design har kommet med 2 nye kolleksjoner denne våren, og det er disse kolleksjonene vi har fått tilsendt og de er bare så vakre!

Fargene er ton i ton, lette å matche med hverandre, både fordi mange av de er dobbelsidige, men også fordi hver serie har matchende papirer! 

Som kortlagere så kan vi av og til slite oss i håret fordi vi ikke finner matchende papirer, men i disse papir kitene, så skal det godt gjøres å finne noe som ikke matcher... lol!

Virkelig en herlig pakke papir å jobbe med!

Maja Design has 2 new collection out this spring, and it is these 2 collections we have played with, and let me tell you, they are just gorgeous! 

The colors are in the same nuances, easy to match not only because they are double sided which makes it extra easy, but because all the papers in each collection are matching each other!

Sometimes we can have trouble finding pattern papers to match... but when it comes to Maja Design, it is hard to find papers that don't match... lol!!! 

What a wonderful set of papers to work with!

Jeg får en del spørsmål om copic sketch markers, og veldig mange lurer på hvilke farger jeg vil anbefale når de skal kjøpe Copic Markers.

Som dere vet er det veldig mange farger å velge mellom og selvsagt kan man ikke kjøpe alle på en gang.

Jeg vil prøve å gi noen tips til farger å velge.

Tipsene er basert på hva jeg liker, og måten jeg fargelegger med Copic Sketch Markers,

og jeg må understreke at jeg er ikke sertifisert Copic Instruktør.

Jeg må også understreke at dette ikke er en tutorial, så du må ikke bli skuffet over manglende steg-for steg forklaring og bilder. Dette er bare tips til hvilke farger du kan velge.

I do get some questions about Copic Sketch Markers, and a lot of those questions are about getting some advice on which colors to choose. 

As you all know there are a lot of colors to choose from, and of course we can't buy them all at once..

I will try to give some tips on what colors to choose.

My tip is based on what I prefer and on my technique when coloring with copic sketch markers.

I must emphasize that I am not a certified Copic instructor, this is my personal preferences only.

I also have to emphasize that this is not a coloring tutorial, so do not be disappointed in the lack of many pictures and step by step explanations. It is color tips only.

Jeg liker best lyse farger når jeg fargelegger, lyse farger som blendes ut til hvitt.

Jeg starter da med farge der som jeg vil ha det mørkest og så blender jeg ut med en lysere nyanse og så tilslutt den lyseste nyanse, som regel fargen 0000 i den samme nyansen.

Til hudfarge bruker jeg alltid:

E0000

E00

R20 for kinnfargene

E21

I usually color in using light colors that blends into white

I start with the darkest color where I want it darkest and add a lighter color and blend and at the end I use the lightest colors in that color, usually 0000.

For the skin I always use this combination

E0000

E00

R20 for the cheeks

E21

Jeg har allerede startet å fargelegge dette motivet, og har brukt fargene som nevnt over til hud og også fargelagt håret, og jeg har plukket ut fargene jeg vil bruke til kjolen.

Jeg bruker alltid minst 3 farger, for å få nyanser og skygger til motivet.

Til håret har jeg brukt 

Y0000,Y21, Y26, E57

I have already started coloring this image, and I have used the colors I mention above for the skin. I have also colored in the hair, and I have picked the colors I want to use for the dress.

I always use at least 3 colors, to get the right nuances and shadows.

For the hair I have used:

Y0000,Y21, Y26, E57

Som du ser har jeg valgt lyse farger i RV koden.

As you can see I have picked light colors in the RV colors.

 Her ser du hvor jeg har lagt den mørkeste fargen og begynt å blende med den nest lyseste.

Here you can see where I have put the darkest color and have started to blend with the second lightest color

Jeg bruker også W3 hvor jeg ønsker å ha ekstra skygge på kjolen, det blender jeg ut med RV0000.

I also use W3 on the dress where I want the shadows to be even a little darker, and I use RV0000 to blend it with.

Nå er det fargen til magebeltet på kjolen, og her har jeg også valgt litt lyse farger

Og igjen 0000 fargen i serien.

Now I want to color in the belt on the dress and I have picked out light colors, and also the 0000 color in the color series. 

Her er motivet ferdig fargelagt

 Så for å oppsummere mine tips:

Du må velge farger etter din egen smak, og hvis du ønsker lyse farger på dine motiv, så velger du de lyseste nyansene i farge koden, som du supplerer med litt mørke også, for å få riktig effekt.

I tillegg vil jeg også anbefale en del nyanser i W serien, for å lage skygge rundt motivet, 

og blenderen  0

er et absolut must!!!

To sum up my tips:

You have to pick the colors of your own taste, and if you want light colors on your images, you pick the light colors in the color code you prefer and also some a little darker, so you can work them together to make the right shadows and nuances.

I would also like do add some markers in the W series, to make shadows around the image.

Do I need to mention the blender 0 ???

It is an absolute must!
