It's always fun to play with letters, and when I heard of this challenge I know right away I wanted to do this kind of white canvas with the family members.
Bokstäver är alltid skoj att leka med och när jag hörde att det skulle bli en bokstavsutmaning så visste jag nästan direkt att jag ville göra en sån här "vit tavla" med oss i familjen.
The canvas is 8"x8" and prepaired with white gesso. Then I made the diamond pattern with modelling paste and a mask. I searched my boxes with letters for the ones I wanted and finished with the small ones for our family name. I really tried to find as many different kind of letters as possible since I wanted a playful look for the canvas.
I glued all the letters and painted with white acrylic a few times to really cover it up. The big "e" got some glue and a layer of microbeads and after they dried they also get some white paint.
Canvasen är 20x20 cm och jag grundade den med vit gesso. Sedan gjorde jag diamantmönstret med strukturpasta och en stencil. Därefter letade jag i mina bokstavslådor efter passande bokstäver för oss alla i familjen och avslutade med att plocka ihop efternamnet. Jag försökte verkligen att hitta så olika bokstäver som möjligt för att få ett mer lekfullt utseende på tavlan.
Klistrade dit alla bokstäver med decopagelack och målade sedan allt med vit akrylfärg ett par gånger för att få det täckande. På det stora e-et penslade jag på lack och strödde sedan ett lager micro-pärlor som fick torka innan även dessa fick vit färg på sig.
This time I made something that was quite clean & simple, being the one that love having tons of embellishments on everything I do.... I really wanted the letters to be the center piece on the canvas and just added two beautiful, little birds. I have used tissue paper to create the background. After having let it dry completely I painted it with white gesso and then sprayed everything with yellow and green inks. I distressed here and there with Distress Ink Pad to get a old look to the canvas.
Den här gången gjorde jag något som blev ganska clean & simple. Brukar ha en tendens att smälla på ganska mycket dekorationer på det jag gör, men den här gången ville jag att bokstäverna skulle poppa ut ordentligt. Bakgrunden är gjord med silkespapper. Målade först allt med gesso och sprayade sen över med gul och grön ink. Jag distressade kanterna här och var för att ge allt en gammal och sliten "look".
My
two cards is made with simular techniques, and the letters on the cards
are med with a Dylusions stencil. On the first card I have used a
quilting tool and sprayd through it, and afterwords I have applied the
letters with the stencils, blending tool and distress ink. On the second

Inte så många bokstäver men ganska tydligt ändå, i alla fall vem kortet är till!
Bakgrunden är gjord med distress ink samt pearl ex samt är stämplat och embossat. Löven är gjorda i friendly plastic.
Not that many letters but it's pretty clear anyway, at least who is the recipient! The background is made with distress ink and pearl ex and I've stamped and embossed it. The leaves are made of friendly plastic.
Bakgrunden är gjord med en stencil och Dylusion spray. Har sedan hällt på bivax och stämplat i det när det fortfarande var varmt. Penslade på pearl ex för att betona stämpeln. Bokstäverna är målade med Lumiere och embossade med UTEE, endast ett lager för att det skall se ut som regndroppar.
The background is made with a stencil and Dylusion spray. I've then put beeswax on it and stamped in the wax while warm. Brushed pearl ex to enhance the stamped motif. The letters are painted with Lumiere and coated with UTEE only once to get rain drop effect.
Stencils is todays challenge for the girls on the ARTsy team. There are many scrappers right now that use stencils on their cards, layouts and Mixed Media creations. Stencils are great if you want to create artsy backgrounds and they come in several different sizes and styles. Just take a look at what the girls have created using stencils.
Stenciler är dagens utmaning för tjejerna i ARTsy teamet. Man ser många scrappare just nu som använder sig av stenciler både på kort, layouter och på Mixed Media alster. Stenciler är perfekta om du vill skapa spännande bakgrunder och det finns ett stort utbud i flera olika storlekar och stilar. Kolla in vilka fina alster som skapats här nedanför.
I created a 12 * 12" canvas using several different stencils. The stencils have been sprayed in
different colours to give depth to the picture.
Jag har gjort en 12 * 12" canvas och använt mig av flera olika stenciler. Jag har sprayat över stencilerna med flera olika färger för att skapa ett djup i bilden.

Ett uppslag i min altered book. Jag arbetar med en hel bok från rubriker. Jag har klippt ut rubriker från massa olika tidningar och satt ihop dem till både meningsfulla och meningslösa sidor. Sidorna är gjorda med gesso, akrylfärger, gel medium, stenciler och stämplar.

Jeg bruker masse stensiler og synes de er herlige å jobbe med..
For this card I started with a Prima stencil and then I made a stencil out of my umbrellaman die.. Used UTEE on him to make him pop more out.. The little fellow you see is from Nicecrane Designs, the words from Prima Engraver packaging.. I colored the card with different green inks and sprays, then I used alcholink to give the the other colores..
Jeg startet med en Prima stensil og så laget jeg en stensil med min paraplyman dies.. Brukte UTEE for å få han til å poppe mer opp.. Then lille fyren er fra Nicecrane Designs, ordene er fra Prima Engraver pakning... og jeg farget med forskjellig grønn farver fra diverse sprayer og inks jeg har.. og til slutt så brukte jeg alkoholblekk..

På Art Journal siden har jeg hovedsakelig brukt Dylusions produkter, og tillegg til en blomst-stensil fra Claudine Hellmuth. Jeg har lekt meg med spray og vann for å skape en kontrast på bakgrunnen.
On this Art Journal page I have mainly used Dylusions products, additional to a flower stencil from Claudine Hellmuth. I have been playing with sprays and water to create a contrast to the background!
Oh, I just love masks since they are so usable. For this one I prefered to use some drier medium
and made a tag.
Åh, jag älskar stenciler eftersom dom är användbara till så otroligt mycket. Den här gången valde jag att arbeta med lite torrare medium och gjorde en tag.
I've just used distress inks in different brown colors, and 3 different masks. I started with the dots and continued with the stem and then the flower in the corner. It's the smaller size of masks (6"x6") from The Crafters Workshop. Text and banner is also colored with distress inks.
Det är bara distress inks i tre olika färger som jag jobbat med och det är 3 olika stenciler. Jag började med prickarna och fortsatte sedan med rankan och blomman i hörnet. Stencilerna är dom små (6"x6") från The Crafters Workshop. Texten + Banderollen är även den infärgad med
distress inks.
For the die cutted leaves I colored an ordinary white paper with one of the brown distress inks before I run it through the cutting machine.
För att få bladen att matcha så färgade jag in ett vanligt vitt papper med en av dom bruna distresserna innan jag stansade ut dom.

It's time for June challenge and it's full of summer feelings. I just love summer and all the beauty in it and activities you can do.
The challenge is to make a card or some other crafting with summer feeling. There has to be elements of sea/seaside or sun or vacation in the project.
On aika julkistaa kesäkuun haaste ja se on tulvillaan kesän tunnelmaa. Pidän kovasti kesän kauneudesta ja kaikista niistä harrastuksista mitä kesällä voi tehdä. Kesäkuun haasteena on tehdä kortti tai muu askartelu, joka ilmentää kesän tunnelmaa. Kortissa/askartelussa pitää olla elementtejä merestä/rannasta tai auringosta tai kesälomasta.
