June challenge...

How time flies! It´s slready June and the summer is closing in fast.

We are up for another challenge, and this one is a quick one. You will only have  two weeks to participate.

BUT - it´s two amazing prizes, so don´t miss it out!

This challenge is a color combination:

You can only use the colors of  BLACK, WHITE & ONE opptional COLOR.
(It´s ok to take beige or ivory instead of white if you like)

For example: if you choose Pink as you´re opptional color, then you´re creation is only allowed to have the colors of black, white and pink. If you choose Red, it can only be in the colors of black, white and red.

How much you use of each color is totaly up to you. As only we can see the three colors easily.

You are allowed to use other colors for skin and hair if you use a stamp/image on you´re card.

I just bought a ephoto light tent from Craftica and been very satisfied with it. There is also a preorder possibility. It has been so much easier to take prettier pictures from my craftings.

I found these beautiful new papers and stamps from Wild Rose Studio.

Northstarstamps

The firm is run by Kari Asdal. 
She been with stamps since 2000. It took awhile, but eventually she got bitten by the bug and bought into large sums. 
North Star Stamps was started a few years after she discovered unmounted stamps and found out how much cheaper it was to buy. Suddenly you could buy what we wanted and everything was so much less space.


Over the years  Kari have visited most of the styles and techniques. Everything from photo stamps to Stampscapes. It's a great hobby we are doing and she have made ​​many friends through this. Something she appreciate very much !

After trying to keep her on the "hobby level" all these years, and as the amount of stamps has increased, forcing the need for a website forward so that more people can see the stamps she make and sell. Kari bring in goods from other manufacturers as well.

Kari is a lovely lady we appreciate very much, and

she has many, many beautiful unmounted- and clearstamps.

Vi söker två nya designers till vårt designteam!

Jobbet innefattar bl.a att skapa inspirationskort till olika sponsorartiklar & utmaningar.Vi vill även att du hjälper till med det administrativa för att StampARTic ska kunna fortsätta publiceras. Jobbet kräver i genomsnitt ungefär någon timme i veckan framför datorn. Vi ser även att du är någorlunda duktig på engelska.

Now for something much more fun! 

We are looking for two new designers to our designteam!
The job includes, among others, to create inspirationcards to various sponsorarticles and challenges. We also want you to help us with the administrative work so that StampARTic can continue publication. The job requires an average of about one hour per week in front of your computer. We would also like for you to be reasonably good at English.

Artsy metal and pastel challenge winner!

Över till vårt tema för artikeln!
Denna gång har vi satt tänderna i metall! Nej, inte bokstavligen som tur är.

Metall är ett ganska vitt tema. Vi kan välja att använda aluminiumfolie eller tejp från exempelvis Biltema, de säljer nog ganska bra av den och inte nödvändigtvis till vad det som var tänkt! Det finns ju dessutom härliga metallark i massor av färger.

Färga med alcohol ink eller akrylfärg, kanske efter att du har präglat det med något av alla intressanta verktyg som finns. Det finns mängder av handverktyg jag skulle vilja prova på. Stämpla på det eller embossa, både torr och värmeembossing passar ju bra! Varför inte stansa i det?  Metall i olika färger och patineringsgrad kan verkligen förhöja ett kort.

Är du sparsam och/eller rädd om miljön funkar det alldeles utmärkt att använda sig av metallen i exempelvis läskburkar. Och metall finns ju inte bara i ark, varför inte använda wire!

This time we put our teeth in metal! No, luckily not literally .

Metal as a theme is quite broad. We can choose to use aluminium foil or different tapes found in hardware store and of course there are scrumptious metal sheets in lots of colours.

You can colour with alco ink and/or acrylic paint maybe after embossing with all the different hand tools that are available. There are loads that I personally would like to try out. Stamp on the metal, emboss it, either dry or heat embossing works fine! Why not punch it? Metal in different colours and patina can really put that something extra on a card.

If you are frugal and/or concerned about the environment, use soda cans, it works like a charm. Oh, don't forget the metal charms! And If you widen your horizon you might descover wire, there are lots of things you can do with wire.

 Black metal was dry embossed. The background panel is 
made with metal tape, alco ink and stamps.

Metal was dry embossed and sanded. Panels were painted with Lumiere.

Maria's card

Metal coloured with alco inks over self adhesive net and punchinella.

Inger's cards

Metal tape embossed, painted and sanded. Metal wire wired with beads. Pearl ex.

Alco inked and heated metal. Stamped and embossed from the backside, 

filled with gesso to maintain shape. The stamps says design.
