Mica powder the ARTsy way!

We are showing you lots of shimmery cards today! The theme this time is mica powder. There are lots of varieties but the main thing that differs is the colour and the manufacter. There is one difference between these powders and that is that perfect pearls have a built-in-resin. Pearl ex, primarey elements, moonglow and perfect pearl are all examples on different brands but you can find more. Micapowder is exactly what the name suggests, a powder that has been finely grinded. It is metallic and sticks to the paper with help of any kind of resin. You can mix this powder with just about any kind of colour you have. Why not have a go with water color, ink, UTEE, embossing powder, acrylics or other medium.

Inger's cards
Pearl ex, starch spray, gel medium, fantasy film.

Peal ex, net, UTEE, shrink plastic
Pearl ex, distress.
Pearl ex, gesso.

Silje's cards

Hope this is inspiration for you and we're hoping to see lots of art work with this beautiful shimmering powder. Please leave a comment and link to your blog and share your work with us. :-)
