Jeg har laget to sommerkort til denne utfordringen. Begge kortene er laget med gamle Tilda - Magnolia stempel motiver.

I have created two summer cards for this challenge, both with some old Tilda - Magnolia stamps.

Stempelet har blitt farget med akvarellfarger.

The stamps has been coloured with watercolours paint.

Stempelet er farget med Promarkertusjer.

This Tilda has been coloured with Promarkers.

It is summer in Norway, but it does not feel that way.

 So we are jusing our summerhouse and pavilion, 

and it is nice to make it pritty whith flowers, lamps, pillows and blankets.

I have make a table lamp for a electric tea light.

I have made the template on my Silhouette macine and cut it out in Maja Design papers.

Jeg har laget en tag. Selv om det ikke er mye som minner om sommer her i nord. Vi har både regn og snø,, så er tanken på sommeren som er i vente nok til å bli glad.

I made a tag. Even tough it isn`t much that reminds of summer for the momen here in the north of Norway. We have rain, snow and the temprature is just about 5 degrees... But the looking forward to the real summer to arrive is enough to make us happy.

Akrylmaling

Akrylfärg!

Att använda målarfärger i alla dess former är något som vi scrapbookare är vana vid. Utbudet är enormt och jag skulle gissa att det finns minst en variant för varje material och teknik vi nu än skulle vilja använda. En av de varianter jag använder mest och som vi i DT-teamet vill visa idag är akrylfärgen.

To use different shapes of colours we scrappers are very used to. I gues there's a paint for whatever you want to paint and for every technique. One of this paints are acrylicpaints and thats what I and the rest of the DT-team wants to show you today.

Akrylfärg går att använda på många sätt och går att hitta relativt billigt dock har inte alltid dessa den bästa kvaliteten men är du nybörjare och bara vill testa lite olika tekniker skulle jag börja med dem och sen lägga några kronor extra för bättre kvalitet nästa köp.

 You can use acrylicpaints in many ways and you can find them quite cheep. If I was a beginner I would start buying some cheeper paint until I know if I would be using them, and maybe next time spend a few extra on quality paint.

Akryl är enkelt att använda.

Acrylicpaints are easy to use.

Ett cardstock, lite färg och en stencil så vips har du gjort din egna personliga bakgrund.

One cardstock, little paint and a stencil and there you have your own personal background.
 

Här har jag använt en stencil och en acrylmist.
Here have I use a stencil and an acrylicmist.

Kanske vill du ha en mer rinnig effekt. Spraya på vatten så att färgen blir tunnare och låt det rinna. Ett annat sätt är att lägga några droppar färg på ett teflonunderlag, spraya 

på vatten och sen dra det du vill färga in igenom pölen av färg.

Maybe you want the colours more runny. Spray with water to thin the paint and let it go all over the paper. Another way to is to put a few colour drops on a teflonsheet mist with water and then drag whatever you want to colour in it. 

Den funkar dessutom perfekt till att göra egen mist med. Blanda ett par droppar färg i vatten och skaka om. Vill du kan du även tillsätta lite perfect pearls eller liknande så får du lite shimmer i misten med.

You can make your own mist with acrylicpaints. A few drops of colour in water, shake well and mist. Add some shimmer to the mist with perfect pearls or similar and you have a glimmermist.
 

Saknar du den där rätta färgen för en fotomatta? Måla en med akryl.

Do you miss just the right colour of paper for your photomat? Use acrylicpaint and make one instead.

Teknikerna är många och jag skulle vilja rekommendera att kolla in hur till exempel Andy Skinner, Finnabair, Donna Downey och Tim Holzt använder akrylfärg. Du blir garanterat inspirerad och förvånad av vad du kan använda. 

The techniques are many and I would want to recommend to check out how artists like Andy Skinner, Finnabair, Donna Downey and Tim Holtz use their paints. I grant you to be inspired and astonished over what they actually are using.

Jeg må innrømme at når jeg starta på dette prosjektet var jeg ikke riktig sikker på hva jeg skulle lage.

Jeg hadde et canvasstykke i str. 6x6 inch med lim på baksiden. 

Fant ut at denne gangen skulle jeg bruke TH sine distress akrylmaling. Jeg fant fargene jeg ville ha og dabbet disse på lerret og sprayet med vann slik at de blendet slik jeg ville. Da var i allefall bakgrunnen klar. Kom på at jeg hadde en ramme med lerret som var litt større enn 6x6" og limte min ferdige bakgrunn på det.

Fant deretter frem ett chipboard hjerte i "hønsenetting" som jeg har spart på. Litt prima- og wild orchid blomster, en resin klokke, litt metall fra TH og et stempel fra ClubScrap og litt mere småtterier fra stashet mitt.

I have to admitt, I wasn`shure what I wanted  to make. I had a piece of selfadeshive canvas in 6x6". I just knew I wanted use the TH distress paints. I got the colors I wanted and dabbed them on the canvas, then mistet with water to get them to blend the way I wanted. So my background piece was ready. Then I remembered I had a frame with canvas just a bit taller than the 6x6" inch piece, I glued the background canvas on this .

Then I did some digging in my stash, I found a chipboard heart, TH metallsign with text, a resin watch a stamp from ClubScrap, flowers from prima ang wild orchid and some bits and  pieces from my stash.

This is the result.

Jeg har malt metallteksten med gesso, klokka er også malt med distress paint og deretter har jeg hatt litt vivia gull på den.

I did paint the metal with gesso to make the word pop a bit, I did also paint the watch with distress paint and just had a small amount with dark gold paint on top

 Selve hjertet har jeg malt med Distress crackle paint i Picket fence og deretter hatt på litt Victorian Velvet distress paint.

I painted the heart with Distress crackled paint- Picket Fence and when that was dry, I had some Victorian Velvet on topp, so the crackles would be more visible.

Det vises ikke så godt, men på bakgrunnen har jeg brukt en glittermaling over hele får å få glans i den. Malingen er transparent rosa, så det er mest glitteret som vises når den tørker. 

Dette var min måte å vise akrylmaling på. Du må finne din måte :-)

It doesn`t show to well, but on the painted canvas I had a top coat with some transparent pink glitterpaint, Just to get some shimmer. 

This is my take on this article with acrylic paint.

Golden fluid acrylic, jag gillar verkligen dessa.

Glimmermist and colour sprays!

Hello everyone.

Today we thought we would give you some projects with different sprays and mists.

There is a bunch of different companies out there, with their own mists  or sprays

Some mists are pigments and others not. You can use them in different ways or combine them with other mediums. They are great for creating backgrounds, you can use them to change colors or make your own color to flowers... and the list can go on and on....

We in the DT has made some different projects, to hopefully inspire you to use your mists.

You can do big projects with lots of layers and really get your hands colored :-)

Or you can make some simple and less timeconsuming projects.

Jag fick fram alla mina varianter av färger och mister. Jag ville ha det enkelt och platt då jag vill kunna ta med pärmen i väskan när jag ska iväg. 

Underst är det ett lager av gesso och sedan är det en salig blandning av distress ink, distress paint, cracklepaint, mister både hemmagjord och köpta, glimmermist och till sist är det lite stämplat med archival ink. 

 All that I got in the name of colour/mist/pigmet was put on my desk so it was easy to use whatever I felt for. I wanted to do something flat so I can travel with my binder.

 

 Färgen har fått rinna lite samtidigt som jag har torkat med embossingfön, lager för lager. Stencilen använde jag först efter att några lager hade fått torka.

All the different colours has been allowed to flow out almost as they wanted while I've used my heating tool to dry layer by layer. I used the stencil after a few of the layers.

Chipboardbokstäverna tyckte jag var lite tråkiga i färgen så de fick lite glimmer glam glitter färg. Lite glitter skadar aldrig.

The chipboardletters was a little dull so I put some glimmer glam glitter paint on them. You can never get to much glitter on a project.

Her har jeg fått bruke litt av de forskjellige mistene jeg har. Det er for det meste Lindys Stampgang, Prima sine color bloom og Heidi Swapp- colorshine. I tillegg har jeg brukt distessink på de små stjernen og akrylmaling på den store

 With this card I could use some of the different mists I have. For the most I used Lindys Stampgang and Prima blooming colors, I also used a bit of Heidi Swapp colorshine. On the smalll stars inside I also used distressed ink and some acrylic paint on the big star.

 Her har jeg rett og slett sprayet bakgrunnen med mist og deretter tatt med papirhåndkle rundt kantene. 

Jeg brukte akrylmaling på denne store stjerna og sprayet over med Prima Pearl mist etterpå.

On this one I just sprayed the background with two different colors, and kind of distressed the egdes with a papertowel and colorbloom. On this big star I just painted with acryic paint first and then sprayed it with Color bloom pearl mist.

 Jeg sprayet ugla (som jeg har laget selv av fimoleire) med to forskjellige farger mist,

gikk deretter over med ett par farger copic på føtter og nebb og rundt øynene.

This owl I made of  fimo clay and silicone form, I sprayed it with two different mists and then I went over it and did some coloring with my copic around the eyes and the yellow parts.

 Her har jeg farget med to forskjellige distress ink på et papir, punchet ut stjernene og tilslutt sprayet over med Heidi Swap colorshine- gold.

Jeg valgte å gå enkelt ut i dag... med en ATC fra Prima som utgangspunkt..

I wanted to make something easy today.. 

so with a ATC from Prima as a starting pointI was good to go

Jeg brukte mister fra Color Bloom (de to ulike gull), en iron glimmermist og litt rosa pigmentpulver fra maikitet mitt..  Har også brukt masse stickles Crystal... Stemplene jeg har brukt er fra Santorini og Scrapomania, tekster er satt sammen av tre ulike Scrapomania stempler..

Hadde det veldig moro med denne her, og så er det jo også gøy å bruke de samme mistene til å farge med..  Så dette ble en liten AJ ATC fra meg.. :D

I used mists from Color Bloom (the two metallic gold), iron (black) from Ranger and a pink pigmentpowder from my maikit.. I have also used stickles crystal.. And the stamps are from Santorini and Scrapomania.. the words are put together from 3 different Scrapomania stamps..

I had so much fun making this.. and to use the mists to color with gives them a whole new life... So this was a little AJ ATC from me...

Det blev ett uppslag i en av mina altered books med tema citat tillsammans med bilder från riktigt gamla veckotidningar.

Jag började med att välja citat samt en bild som matchade. Bilden är underbar, man ser verkligen hur stark hon är! Färgpaletten var alltså redan avgjord. Jag gillar grått men använder det inte så ofta i mitt skapande så jag uppskattade utmaningen. Gröngrått alltså och mister i de nyanserna plockades fram. Det man tyvärr inte ser på bilden är hur det skimrar. Du får föreställa dig det. :-)

Sprejade med grön och grå mist. Använde en lövstencil och sprejade med grönt. Ville att det skulle synas mer så jag plockade fram akrylfärgen istället. Bilden samt bitar ur en bok limmades fast på sidan med matt gel medium försiktigt. Målade skuggor med grå chalkpenna. Stämplade med svart dyna och avslutade med lite gröna duttar i akrylfärg.

This is a  spread in my altered book themed quotes combined with images from really old magazines.

I started out with choosing a quote and a image that matched it. I think the image is wonderful, you can really see how strong she is! Hence, the image is what decided the colour palette. I like grey but I don't often create with it so I liked this challenge. The colour is greenish grey and I pulled out some mists that would match. What you unfortunately don't see in the picture is she shimmer. 

I suggest you put your shimmer glasses on! :-)

Sprayed with green and grey mists. Used a leaf stencil and sprayed with green. Wanted more definition so I grabbed some acrylic paint instead for the stencil. The image and some pieces of book pages was glued onto the page with matte gel medium, carefully since it's not water proof. Outlined with grey chalk pen. Stamped the quote and the edges in black ink. 

Stamped some dots with acrylic paint.

Jeg har laget en tag. Bakgrunnen er et gammelt ark med tekstmønster. Det er farget med dylusion spray. Så sprayet jeg vann på tagen og spredte saltklumper over den. Saltet tiltrekker seg vannet og lager en litt morsom effekt i den våte malingen. Det grønne båndet er en gammel blonde som jeg har farget med dylusion spray og krøllet.

I have created a tag. The background is an old text patterned paper, coloured with dylusion spray. Then I have sprayed water onto the tag, and added sea salt. This creates pattern in the wet ink, while it is drying. The green band is a lace, coloured with dylusion spray. 

Øyestikkeren er laget ved å stemple to øyestikkere på blank plast. Baksiden av plasten er farget med alkohol blekk, og øyestikkerne er klippet ut. Jeg limte de over hverandre for å skape effekten av et dobbelt vingepar. På toppen av vingene limte jeg en piperenser for å lage kroppen til øyestikkeren.

The dragonfly is created by stamping two dragonfly onto clear acetate. Then I coloured the back of the acetate with alcohol ink, and cut out the two dragonflies. They were glued on the top of each other to create the double wing effect. I then added a pipe cleaner to make the dragonfly body.

I took a class whit Cards by Camilla, and it was really fun to something different

 and out of my Comfort zone.

Tilda is colored with Distress re-ink.



I have used cat eye to brush all the edges.

I have stamped the motifes and text

with VersaFine ink.

Enkle og lette tager med stempler fra AHA kolleksjonen og Ashley G. På bakgrunnen har jeg brukt Dylusions stempler som jeg har sprayet på en non stick matte for så å dra tagene gjennom blekket. Kun for å skape en litt annen effekt en det jeg normalt får når jeg bruker disse sprayene. Stemplene har jeg stemplet med Archival og Distress blekk.

Simple and easy to make tags with the new stamps from AHA collection and Ashley G. I have used Dylysions sprays on a non stick mat and draged the two tags throught the ink, just to get a little different backgrounds than I usually get with using these sprays. I have stamped the motifes with Archival & Distress inks.

Ofta så ser jag papper som jag tycker är så vackra att jag vill ha dem på väggarna hemma. Och just nu med trenden av chalkboard art så är det ju ofta så att just dessa papper passar på väggarna.

Here I have taken three frames I found at home and painted them with white paint. The I cut different sheets of paper from the MME Chalkboard studio paper line, and put them in the frame. And in no time at all I had three beautiful picture to put on my wall.

Här har jag tagit tre gamla ramar som jag hittade hemma och målade dem med vit färg. Valde tre papper från MME chalkboard serie och skar till dem i passande storlek. Och snabbt hade jag tre vackra härliga tavlor.

I often see beautiful paper that I want to put on my walls at home. And right now when the chalkboard art trend is so big, it´s often that these papers suits the walls perfectly.

Jeg har dekorert et lerret fra Tim Holtz. Bilen er stanset ut av en pappeske med en Tim Holtz dies. Bilen er dekket av Gesso og maling. Alle de ulike smådelene er fra gamle pcer, symaskiner og klokker, som jeg har demontert.

I have decorated a Canvas from Tim Holtz. The car is a diecut from a cardboard box, made with the old jalopy Car from Tim Holtz. The car is covered with Gesso and paint. All the bits and bobs on the canvas are from dismantled computers, sewing machines and clocks. 

For å få effekten med farger, har jeg brukt ulike typer malinger. 

I have worked with different colours and mediums to get the coloured effect.

Jeg har valgt å dekorere et syltetøyglass. Man har alltid brukt for glass som man kan ha penner eller hva som helst i. 

Dette glasset skal bli en gave.

I choosed to alter a Jam jar. One are always in need for jars. One can use it for pens or whatever.

This jar is a gift.

Jeg har brukt papir fra Prima, chalk label og peonies fra Donna Downey og ett par andre blomster, bånd og charms.

When I first saw this pic, I did get this summer feeling innside.

Gerbera is a flower I always buy in the summer.

  

I have buildt the light house on top of a hexagonal Box,

 and it is plenty of rom to put a gift ore a minialbum in it.

I made this template om my loving Silhouette machine.

It is really easy to make templates whith this machine,

 so you shoud really borrow one and try.

 When you have tried it you are hooked up. I promise.

Here you get som details from the light house.

All the flowers are from Prima, Bo Bunny and Storyteller.

 I have jused a lot og charms, beads and old Shells for garnish.

 The light house is 33 cm high.

 It is possible to put a Electric tealight in both floors.

I love the colours in the picture. The dress has long been a project in my head and finaly I had an opportunity. Its made from homemade papier mache, lace, ribbon,old zipper,stamps, homemade mist, half pearls, a broken necklace and metallicflowers from Korthobby.

I have decorated a paper mache heart box with papers from Primas new collection - Stationers. The red roses are handmade.
