men prosjektet må være laget med utstanset figur fra en dies og scrapbook papir/kartong.

It's not important who prodused the metal dies or what you make, as long as you use a die-cut
made from a diese and that you use scrapbooking paper/cardstock.

Here's what our designteam have made for inspiration...

Kirsten

I have created a shaped shaker card, using Tim Holtz clock die.

Tilda has been painted with watercolours. The background with the sea scene is also a stamp - and has been coloured with watercolours. All the leaves and swirls are different dies.

To make the back of the Tilda figure more interesting, I have coloured here green as a hedge, and mounted a dog. The glass beads has been coloured with blue alcohol ink. I have added a few clock diecuts of cardboard in between the sides of the card - to make room for the beads and to make some depth to the landscape scene.

There is room for a personal message at the back of the card.

I have made a Box, 4x4x4 inch.

All the papers are from G45, Sweet Sentiments Collection.

Moste of the dies I have jused is from Memory Box, Marianne Design and Spellbinders.

The flowers is from Prima, Storyteller, Hobbykunst og WOC.

This is back of the Box.

I have jused gesso on all the flowers.

I made a  box shaped like an egg. 

I drybrushed it with Viva Inkagold and Decoart paint

Jeg har laget en eggformet boks som jeg har tørrbørsta med maling fra Viva Inka Gold og Decoart Paint.

For the eggshaped I used a big balloon die from Simon Says Stamps. The other dies are from Joy craft.

For selve eggformen har jeg brukt en ballong die fra Simon Says Stamp og de andre er fra Joy Craft.

The embossing is the Regal embossingfolder from Tim Holtz.

I also used some Prima flowers and made the orange rose using punched flowers.

Some pearl lace and the rest of the pearls made with Viva pearl pen.

Jeg brukte en Prima tag, der jeg klippet av nederste biten og lagde en lomme..

I used a Prima tag where I cut of the bottom to make a pocket

Klokken er stanset ut av grungeboard og blomstene jeg av gammelt restepapir som har fått masse forskjellig mist på seg..

The clock is from grungeboard and the flowers are from leftover paper witch have got lots and lots of mist on them..

Jag har valt att göra ett kort med diesen Step Card från Ceery Lynn design. Kortet är sedan dekorerat med diverse olika dies alla utom raiit skylten som kommer från Sizzix och texten är en stans från Mandys/Engströms Artstudio.

I have choosen to make a card with the step card dies fråm Cheery lynn design. The card is decoratd with differens dies, all of them exept the Grattis sign, tha one is from Sizzix, and the grattis text is from Mandys/Engströms.

Jag valde att rota fram riktigt gamla dies och se vad jag kunde hitta på med dem! Detta är vad kortet ville bli.

I dug out some old dies to see what I could do with them. This is how it turned out.

Guest designer for April

Sherry Mendoza

Sherry Mendoza is originally Australian, now living in Amerika and working for American Crafts. She is an inspiering artist. She has earlier worked for Prima Marketing, Ranger-Dylusions and Tattered Angles.

She is going to give classes in Norway and Sweden most probably in September 2014.

When did you start scrapbooking and papercrafting? 
I started making things with paper and keeping a scrapbook when I started school at approximately age 5. I always hoarded my souvenirs and stuck them into albums.

How important is crafting in your life today?
Crafting is very important, I love the idea of visual record keeping for my children and their children. It is also my job.  

Do you do any other crafts than papercrafting?
Yes I can knit, sew, crochet, quilt and cross stitch! 

What kind of papercrafts and techniques do you enjoy?
I love to make mini albums and do altered projects using all kinds of techniques including water colors, spray mists and stamping. 

What kind of products do you use at the moment?
I use mostly products from American Crafts which is where I work. I love Studio Calico and Crate Paper! 

We all need inspiration from time to time, who or what inspire you?
I get my inspiration from a few different places, daily life, my photography and then online I get inspiration from blogs and pinterest of course!

How do you get from an idea to a finished artwork?
I am not quite sure, it starts in my head and then I can work very quickly to the finished project without actually thinking too much. I struggle if I try to over think things, I let creativity it take its natural course.

Recycle clothes details

Dags för ytterligare en utmaning för oss. Häromdagen läste jag statistik på hur mycket kläder vi slänger. Jag kommer inte ihåg siffran men den var oroväckande hög Istället för att slänga det kan man återvinna det och göra något annat av det. 

It's time for another recycling challenge. I read some statistics on how much clothes we throw away. I do't remember the numbers but it was alot, too much! Instead of throwing it away, why not recycle it and make it into something new!

Massor av lager! Jag började med gamla sidor av böcker, noter, post avier och frimärken. Olika tejper och wellpapp, die cuts och spets för att få struktur. Gel medium med flera stenciler och punchinella. Täckte med gesso och målade med olika akrylfärger. Brads, tyll, grungeboard, ståltrål, lera, rosetter, knappar, kedjor, bh detaljer, dragkedja, etiketter, bandage, band, blommor, diskett, garn och klamrar.

Lots and lots of layers! I started with text and music notes from books, stamps cake paper and old envelopes. Different kind of tapes and corrugated card, die cuts and lace to get structure. Different stencils and sequin waste with gel medium. Covered with gesso and painted with different acrylic colours. Brads, toille, grungeboard, wire, clay, bows, buttons, beads, chain, bra details, zipper, etiquette, bandage, ribbon, flowers, floppy disc, twine, staples and yarn.

Linda

På dette prosjektet er det brukt tråder og knapper fra gamle klær. Her har Linda festet trådene med gel medium, deretter brukt silks maling, gelatos og metallic lustre for å freshe opp prosjektet. 

On this project Linda has used treads and buttons, and she put everything together with gel medium. Colors used is Silks paint, Gelatos and metallic lustre.

Jeg har laget en boks til en Freia sjokolade appelsin. Malen på boksen finner du i bloggen min. Den skal passe til den norske Freia versjonen og den utenlandske Terry's versjonen.

I have made a new box for a Freia Chocolate Orange. Template for the box is in my blog. The box is the same size as for Terry's Chocolate orange

Jeg har dekorert med en gammel beltespenne, knapper, blomster, diecuts. tråder og snøflak i sølv.

I have decorated with an old belt buckle, buttons, flowers, die cuts, threads and silver snowflakes.

Jeg har laget et lite enkelt kort, i en lomme på baksiden. Her er det plass til en liten beskjed til mottaker.

I have left a small card on the back for a message.

I dag blev det ett kort...

Ett kort 10x15 cm med bas av cardstock. Jag använde ett tunt, nästan transparent tyg till 

bakgrunden. Stämplade med en bakgrundsstämpel från Donna Downey, embossade

med ett turkost embossing pulver som resist och färgade slutligen in hela bakgrunden 

med Distress Stain Vintage Photo.

En blomma av jeanstyg, Gesso och Silks Acrylic Glace från LuminArte på kronbladen

och en gammal knapp i mitten.

En hoprullad dragkedja som mitt i blomman gjord av spillbitar från bakgrunden.

Några sidenband och skosnören.

& tecknet utstansat ur ett kraftigt canvas tyg med en die från Sizzix/Holts.

Några bitar svart spets som blad till blomman.

I cut the & from canvas with a die from Sizzix/Holtz. Added some lace pieces 

under the big flower as leaves.

Jeg laget en AJ side.

Her har jeg brukt  en Blooming girls fra Prima som hovedmotiv, denne har knapper, tråd og pensler i motivet, så det passet bra. glidelåset er ikke gammelt, det er bånd. Knappene har jeg funnet i svigemors syskrin, noen av de, resten hadde jeg selv samlet. Tagene er fra klær, den med seleklypa også. Ellers litt washiteip, gamle chipboard bokstaver som jeg har hatt liggende i flere år.
Og noen motiver fra Etsy.

I made an AJ page. The page is canvas and is from a Prima AJ, I used one of the blooming girls from Prima as my image. This girl have some buttons, tread and paintbrushes in the image and that was perfect for this challenge.
Tha zipper isn`t an old one, but a ribbon from Maya Road. Buttons is from my mother in laws treasure box and some I collected myself.
These tags in the upper right corner is from cloths.All of them. I just remaked them as my date journaling. Other stuff is old chipboard alfabeth, washitape and some images from Etsy.

Ofta så ser jag papper som jag tycker är så vackra att jag vill ha dem på väggarna hemma. Och just nu med trenden av chalkboard art så är det ju ofta så att just dessa papper passar på väggarna.

Here I have taken three frames I found at home and painted them with white paint. The I cut different sheets of paper from the MME Chalkboard studio paper line, and put them in the frame. And in no time at all I had three beautiful picture to put on my wall.

Här har jag tagit tre gamla ramar som jag hittade hemma och målade dem med vit färg. Valde tre papper från MME chalkboard serie och skar till dem i passande storlek. Och snabbt hade jag tre vackra härliga tavlor.

I often see beautiful paper that I want to put on my walls at home. And right now when the chalkboard art trend is so big, it´s often that these papers suits the walls perfectly.

Jeg har dekorert et lerret fra Tim Holtz. Bilen er stanset ut av en pappeske med en Tim Holtz dies. Bilen er dekket av Gesso og maling. Alle de ulike smådelene er fra gamle pcer, symaskiner og klokker, som jeg har demontert.

I have decorated a Canvas from Tim Holtz. The car is a diecut from a cardboard box, made with the old jalopy Car from Tim Holtz. The car is covered with Gesso and paint. All the bits and bobs on the canvas are from dismantled computers, sewing machines and clocks. 

For å få effekten med farger, har jeg brukt ulike typer malinger. 

I have worked with different colours and mediums to get the coloured effect.

Jeg har valgt å dekorere et syltetøyglass. Man har alltid brukt for glass som man kan ha penner eller hva som helst i. 

Dette glasset skal bli en gave.

I choosed to alter a Jam jar. One are always in need for jars. One can use it for pens or whatever.

This jar is a gift.

Jeg har brukt papir fra Prima, chalk label og peonies fra Donna Downey og ett par andre blomster, bånd og charms.
